The Brussels Government has approved a reform of the Low Emission Zone (LEZ), which sets the rules for vehicles allowed to drive in Brussels. The environmental objectives are maintained, but the accompanying measures are strengthened. The reform notably provides for an annual pass of 350 euros for certain vehicles that do not meet the LEZ criteria, reduced to 200 euros for Brussels residents benefiting from BIM status. Exemptions are also provided for certain vulnerable groups, as well as derogations for certain professionals.
