Georges-Louis Bouchez was a guest on Maxime Binet's “Café sans filtre” this Wednesday 8 May on LN24. On the agenda: rising purchasing power thanks to the MR, the need for an entrepreneurial strategy for the State, the parliamentary inquiry committee on the country's energy strategy, and also the moralising dictates of subsidised non-profits, funded with citizens' money, and therefore also MR members' money, who refuse to invite liberals to debate.
Liberals are the only ones increasing Belgians' purchasing power
We are the party that increases purchasing power the most, raising real income by +4.61% compared to the baseline scenario. The PS performs worse than the baseline, with a drop of -2.48%. We create the most jobs in French-speaking Belgium, with 118,000 new jobs created, almost 6 times more than the PS, 4 times more than Ecolo, and about twice as many as Les Engagés and DéFI. For Georges-Louis Bouchez, “it's a bit funny that the PS gives lessons in good management, when you look at Brussels' finances.”
We need a parliamentary inquiry committee to trace the country's energy strategy
“Certain public companies need to bring back private reference shareholders. Bpost today is a rudderless ship. Proximus should have a reference shareholder. The State, as majority shareholder, is not a good shareholder because it has no entrepreneurial strategy.
When Elia tells us in September ‘22 that we can close all the reactors, and then in March 2023 says we can no longer do so because of the war in Ukraine, that shows a lack of strategy! In France and Germany, committees were set up to analyse energy strategies. We need a parliamentary inquiry committee to analyse the last 20 years of the country's energy strategy. This is a major strategic issue so we don't repeat the same mistakes!”
Twice as many French nationals work in West Flanders as Walloons
“In West Flanders, nearly twice as many French nationals as Walloons work in companies. Why don't Walloons go there? It's not a language problem! We have one of the lowest employment rates in Europe, we're wasting huge amounts of public money! Unemployment benefits must be limited to 2 years.”
Politicised non-profits acting with citizens' money
“At some point, enough is enough with these people who pretend to be the embodiment of virtue! I'm thinking of non-profits like ‘Vie féminine’, subsidised with our fellow citizens' money, which won't invite the MR to a debate. What's their idea of democracy? I'm also thinking of Oxfam, which doesn't pay corporate tax on its shops. These are activists acting with public money! So also the money of MR voters.”
