The MR was committed to this: better rewarding work and allowing those who work to keep more of their pay. From 1 November, the first adjustments linked to the tax reform will become visible on pay slips.
Less tax, more purchasing power
For the MR, improving purchasing power requires a clear response: taxing work less and creating a net difference of up to 500 euros between those who work and those who do not. Behind this reform lies a strong conviction: everyone should be able to enjoy more of the fruits of their efforts. It is a matter of fairness, but also of respect for those who keep our economy running every day.
The increase in the tax-exempt portion of income is a first concrete lever. These initial adjustments are only a first step: the reform provides for a gradual increase in tax relief over the coming years. The course is set: more net pay and better-rewarded work.
Another promise kept!
Making work pay more is not just a slogan for the MR. It is a political commitment that we uphold in every government we are part of and translate into concrete decisions. The adopted tax reform marks an important step in this direction.
Our line remains the same: supporting those who work, encouraging activity and easing the tax burden. We announced it, and the promise has been kept.
