Thanks to the agreement of the Arizona government, mayors will soon have new concrete tools to tackle public order disturbances linked to vagrancy and marginality, announced the President of the Mouvement Réformateur.
At the initiative of the MR and its President, Georges-Louis Bouchez, procedures will be simplified and accelerated: mayors will be able to ban access to certain places, regulate begging, and act more quickly with the support of police and judicial services.
“Mayors will no longer have any excuses,” insists Georges-Louis Bouchez, recalling that he pushed for this reform from the very start of the government negotiations.
The aim: to protect citizens, ensure public peace and guarantee appropriate support for the people concerned.
These measures, which will come into force by the end of the year, mark a turning point in local authorities' ability to respond effectively to issues on the ground.
