A first analysis by the NSSO of the available data for July shows an encouraging trend in the use of flexi-jobs.
In July 2026, the number of people working a flexi-job rose by 1,312 compared to June, despite a seasonal context that is usually less favourable to flexi-jobs during the summer months, due to student employment.
The payroll linked to flexi-jobs also increased in July compared to June.
The comparison with July 2025 confirms a clear increase, both in the number of flexi-jobbers and in payroll, across the various categories. This positive trend reflects the recent extension of the flexi-job scheme and the ever-growing popularity of this form of employment.
As a reminder, since 1 July 2026, flexi-jobs have been accessible in all sectors, except those that have used the opt-out option. A more complete analysis will be possible based on the quarterly declarations for the third quarter of 2026.
David Clarinval, Minister of Employment: “These first figures are encouraging. It is a first positive signal since the extension of the system to all sectors. The figures for the third quarter will allow us to more accurately assess the impact of the reform.”
