The government, in office since 1 February 2025 and including the MR, is working to restore stability and purchasing power in households, and is taking concrete action for citizens. Today, the first reforms are already in place.
On the ground, these decisions are already having an effect: limiting the duration of unemployment benefits, aimed at getting more people back into work, boosts local economic activity and supports businesses looking to recruit. At the same time, the government is investing in concrete solutions for families, in particular by advocating for more childcare places, enabling more parents, and especially women, to balance work and family life.
Security and the efficiency of public services are also at the heart of the changes. The merger of police zones aims to improve coordination and presence on the ground, for a faster, more effective response where citizens need it. At the same time, extending nuclear power helps ensure more stable energy supplies and avoid overly sharp increases in bills in the future.
On the social front, the government also intends to make the system fairer and more sustainable. The pension reform aims to better reward those who have worked and contributed, while efforts are underway to better tackle abuses, so as to preserve resources for those who truly need them.
In recent months, wages have been protected against rising prices, allowing many households to maintain their standard of living. At the same time, important reforms have been introduced to boost employment, with a simple goal: to offer more opportunities and support local economic activity.
All these actions are making a concrete difference to daily life and improving quality of life, right here, close to home.
