Following the second quarterly analysis of the 2025 files, the Minister for Sport and Sports Infrastructure, Jacqueline Galant, gave her agreement in principle for 7 projects at the preliminary design stage, representing a total of €4,519,270.
In addition, 10 projects received a firm grant commitment totalling €7,061,940. The conclusions of the next quarterly analysis are expected to be announced in the autumn. “Once again, Wallonia stands alongside local authorities to support sport where it is lived: on the pitch, in our towns, in our villages, in our neighbourhoods,” says Jacqueline Galant, Minister for Sport and Sports Infrastructure.
As a reminder, these grants, awarded every quarter, enable the development and maintenance of sports infrastructure in line with criteria such as an ethical charter, accessibility for people with reduced mobility, energy-efficient construction and the use of sustainable materials…
An agreement in principle for 7 files
The Minister for Sport and Sports Infrastructure has given an agreement in principle for 7 files at the preliminary design stage. To limit spending before a grant is obtained, files requiring the involvement of a project designer are subject to an agreement in principle. On this basis, project promoters can continue their file with the guarantee of receiving a firm grant commitment once their technical file is validated and budget availability is checked.
