The reform of the “warm rent” makes it possible to take the energy performance of homes into account when calculating social rents. The aim is to make the system fairer between tenants, while giving the sector the means to renovate more homes. Better-insulated homes mean more comfort, lower energy costs and a more sustainable public housing stock for families.
