The Walloon Government continues to modernise the rules relating to nature conservation and biodiversity, simplifying procedures for scientific and educational activities, with a more flexible and faster notification system. It is also improving the derogation procedures relating to protected species and nature reserves in order to ensure greater efficiency, clarity and legal certainty. The aim is to combine administrative simplification, responsiveness on the ground and the maintenance of a high level of biodiversity protection in Wallonia.
