Faced with crime that knows no municipal boundaries, the police must act in a more coordinated way. Merging the police zones in Brussels into a single zone makes it possible to pool resources, avoid duplication and strengthen effectiveness on the ground. The result: more coherent action, greater everyday safety and the preservation of accessible community policing for all.
