Getting back into work faster, with stronger support: that is the aim of this unemployment reform. Benefits are now time-limited, with a maximum duration of two years and a gradual reduction, to encourage a return to work. At the same time, jobseekers are being directed more towards training, retraining and personalised support, with help from the CPAS where necessary. The result: a system refocused on employment, more active support and more pathways into the labour market.
