The Walloon Parliament has adopted the decree put forward by Cécile Neven and Adrien Dolimont to better tackle airport noise pollution. It provides for a decreasing overall noise quota, a reduction of authorised thresholds during the most sensitive hours, and stricter sanctions. This reform better protects residents while preserving the economic attractiveness of Walloon airports.
