The ban on combining maternity leave with a local political mandate or certain forms of volunteering will be abolished. From the 15th day after childbirth, the women concerned will be able to continue these engagements without losing their allowances. This possibility will also be extended to birth leave, adoption leave and leave for foster parents, so that parenthood is no longer a barrier to societal engagement.
