Night work is no longer governed by a blanket ban, but by simpler rules better suited to the needs of businesses and to realities on the ground. It may be organised between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., through a collective labour agreement signed by all trade unions represented in the company, or through an amendment to the work regulations. This change gives businesses more flexibility, particularly when they need to respond to peaks in activity or remain competitive, while maintaining a formal framework for workers. A measure designed to support growth, attract activity to Belgium and create the jobs that come with it.
