From 1 July 2025, employer social security contributions will be capped. Specifically, this concerns only the charges paid by the employer, not employee contributions. By limiting the cost borne by companies for highly paid profiles, Belgium becomes more attractive for recruiting and retaining skilled talent. This measure thus strengthens the competitiveness of our companies while preserving the attractiveness of our labour market. From 1 April 2026, this cap will no longer apply to athletes.
