Georges-Louis Bouchez is reopening a debate that is structurally important for the country's future by proposing to strengthen ties between Wallonia, Brussels and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. An approach guided by a clear conviction: “within Belgium, it is better to organise ourselves according to a French-speaking logic”.
“We must pool everything we can between Wallonia and Brussels”, he insists, aiming for better coordination of economic, employment, mobility and strategic investment policies.
This vision is based on a simple observation: “an individual is defined mainly by their language and culture, more than by a territory in the strict sense”, explains the MR President. As a result, strengthening synergies between French-speakers seems self-evident in order to improve public action and respond more effectively to economic and social challenges.
