In an interview with La Libre this Wednesday, the MR President condemns the political deadlock in Brussels and Ahmed Laaouej's responsibility for the failure of the negotiations. Georges-Louis Bouchez points out that the Brussels PS is blocking any progress by refusing to respect the balance of power resulting from the elections, and calls on Paul Magnette to take responsibility by imposing a solution. "Is Paul Magnette only the President of the PS of Charleroi?"

Since July, it has been clear that Ahmed Laaouej never intended to bring these negotiations to a successful conclusion. A situation made even more complicated by the fact that some parties campaigned on unrelated issues, diverting attention from the real budgetary and institutional challenges facing Brussels.
If the PS persists in this deadlock, it will bear full responsibility and confirm the collapse of the Brussels Region.
