At the start of 2025, MR Seniors send you their best wishes for health, fulfilment and wellbeing.
Week by week, advisory structures are being set up in the various municipalities following the October 2024 elections.
In its memorandum, Amnesty International stressed the importance of including, within every municipality, a Municipal Advisory Council for the Elderly (CCCA) so that “decision-making processes, policies and public services put in place for older people are designed and developed to ensure their relevance and use among the older population”.
Each municipality is free to set up this CCCA, but MR Seniors strongly encourage its implementation.
It is thanks in particular to these CCCAs that municipalities can genuinely take Seniors' needs into account and implement policies tailored to them.
MR Seniors strongly support the participation of liberal representatives on these councils and invite you to apply in your own municipality.
If you are not aware of any call for candidates in your municipality, do not hesitate to contact your Mayor and encourage the ruling majority to set up this Municipal Advisory Council for the Elderly.
This renewal following the October 2024 elections is an ideal opportunity to get involved in your municipality by joining your CCCA. Seize this opportunity to take action at your own level.
