This Thursday, in a plenary session of the Chamber, the bill by Florence Reuter and Axel Ronse aiming to postpone the implementation of the FLA (Federal Learning Account) will be taken into consideration so that it can be examined urgently from next week.
The aim is to postpone the registration obligations by 6 months to allow Employment Minister David Clarinval to propose a less costly and more efficient alternative for businesses.
As a reminder, from the outset this measure caused frustration, as businesses are already required to draw up training plans and report on them in their social balance sheet. Irritation only increased when the online tool proved particularly complex and generated a heavy administrative burden.
For MP Florence Reuter: “we must listen to our businesses, which are already administratively overburdened. Training and workers' training rights are essential, that goes without saying, but the registration tool and its use added confusion and a certain bewilderment among entrepreneurs.”
“The FLA is administratively far too heavy for many entrepreneurs. We agreed at Arizona coalition level to abolish it in order to replace it with something lighter. My previous bill provided for a postponement until April, pending the coalition agreement. We are there now and are extending this deadline until September to give Employment Minister David Clarinval time to come up with a bill that will settle the matter,” concludes Axel Ronse, N-VA group leader
