The Consultative Assembly of Members of the Mouvement Réformateur aims to encourage active participation from our members.
Made up of 30 members, it plays an essential role in our organisation's decisions, reflecting our commitment to gender equality with balanced representation.
Members are chosen at random from among the candidates, ensuring maximum diversity and representativeness.
What is its role? The Consultative Assembly of Members may at any time issue opinions on its own initiative to the MR Council. The Consultative Assembly of Members may also be consulted at any time by the MR Council on any matter it deems useful. It is therefore an essential participatory body that allows you to make your voice heard.
In addition, each year, during its inaugural session, two members of the Consultative Assembly of Members are drawn by lot to attend the MR Council. The Consultative Assembly of Members elects a Chair from among its members, who may receive an invitation to attend the Bureau and is automatically a member of the MR Council. This is therefore a unique opportunity to witness key moments in political life.
How can you become a member of the Consultative Assembly of Members? Any member who is up to date with their membership fees for the past 2 years and holds no elected mandate other than that of municipal councillor or CPAS councillor may submit their candidacy.
- You must be available on weekday evenings to attend the meetings and activities of the Consultative Assembly of Members.
- You must be willing to travel to the various MR federations in Wallonia and Brussels according to needs and assigned tasks.
- Participation in the Consultative Assembly of Members requires a certain personal commitment and dedication to contributing to fruitful exchanges that enrich debates and decisions. You commit to a one-year term within the Consultative Assembly of Members. The meeting locations for the Assembly's activities are determined by the Assembly itself, taking into account members' availability and the logistical resources of the Mouvement Réformateur.
