As the festive season approaches, Minister Jacqueline Galant and Minister-President Adrien Dolimont sent a message to the people of Wallonia: the reforms are working, they are changing lives, and they will continue in 2026.
We have cut taxes to ease the cost of living for citizens. We have put an end to political appointments, reaffirming our commitment against cronyism and in favour of merit. We have reformed the administration and launched a huge programme of administrative simplification.
These reforms are not always popular: that's true. But they are necessary. We have also preserved energy support, saving the grants that so many families depend on. The sports budget has been preserved.
The new year will be one of acceleration. We will continue to reform in order to truly improve everyone's daily life. The projects launched in 2025 will bear fruit. Administrative simplifications will make life easier for businesses and citizens. The reduction in tax burdens will be felt even more.
