A year after the regional elections, Brussels still has no government, a worrying situation for the capital, which is sinking a little further every day because of the disastrous management by the left. The Mouvement Réformateur is once again taking the initiative this Friday by bringing together the parties ready to move forward.
Despite the absence of DéFI and Ecolo, who refuse to take part because of the presence of the N-VA and the lack of a French-speaking majority, the MR is not giving up. Georges-Louis Bouchez, President of the party, points out that "if everyone imposes their own veto, nothing moves forward". The MR proposes a constructive compromise and is aiming for a solid parliamentary majority, without excluding any democratic party.
Breaking the deadlock
For the MR, the urgent need is to form a government capable of tackling Brussels' economic and social challenges. The MR President stresses that a policy of deadlock leads nowhere and that only open dialogue will make it possible to find a solution. "We will not shirk our responsibilities. We want to listen, exchange views and reach an agreement," he states.
While some prefer to keep raising the stakes with more conditions, the MR is ready to give Brussels a stable, efficient and forward-looking government!
