The day after his ministers were appointed in Wallonia and in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, MR President Georges-Louis Bouchez was a guest on Bel RTL's 7:50am show. The liberal looked back at the previous day's choices, the ministerial team and the reforms our regions are expecting.
“My personal pleasure would have been to go there. I have a responsibility as MR President. There are ongoing negotiations at federal level. The situation in Wallonia is such that it must be dealt with fully. I also have to lead my party for the municipal elections. The responsibilities are too heavy to abandon halfway through.
I am not a President who watches the trains go by. I am involved in the work of the governments. The MR's success will be measured by Wallonia's success. I will pay close attention to the implementation of the government agreements. We are two different parties but a single team to make Wallonia a success.”
