In Sudinfo, Employment Minister Pierre-Yves Jeholet presents the future “Job Spaces”. From 2027, 43 clearly identified locations will make it easier for citizens to find the services and support they need to move towards employment.
From a landscape of 311 structures to a network of 43 Job Spaces, supported by the Forem's 12 regional directorates. From 1 January 2027, Wallonia will have a simpler, clearer and more accessible network.
For Pierre-Yves Jeholet, the principle is simple: “It is not for citizens to adapt to our organisation. It is up to us to make their journey simpler.”
The 43 Job Spaces will make it possible to bring together more services and partners in one place, making it easier to find an answer or the right contact person.
Simplifying to be more effective
This reform is fully in line with Pierre-Yves Jeholet's approach to employment: less complexity, clearer schemes and resources concentrated where they are genuinely useful. It is the same logic guiding the reform of hiring aid.
“A citizen shouldn't need to understand how institutions work just to know which door to knock on. That is precisely what I want to change with this reform.”, concludes Pierre-Yves Jeholet.
