The soldiers arrived today alongside our police officers in Brussels' stations and metro stations. This marks the launch of Operation Urban Shield: khaki reinforces blue in your stations, to ensure your safety every day.
This increased presence across Brussels' various stations and metro stations shows that we are not leaving the ground to antisocial behaviour and insecurity.
A big thank you to the police officers and soldiers who are mobilising to protect us on our daily journeys. Safety is a priority, not a slogan.
