Emmanuel De Bock joins the Mouvement Réformateur.
At 49 years old, a lawyer, honorary Brussels MP, municipal councillor in Uccle and group leader of the Mayor's List, Emmanuel De Bock has decided to take a new step in his political commitment.
After more than thirty years of commitment within DéFI, nostalgic for the PRL-FDF Federation, he has chosen to join the Mouvement Réformateur in order to continue his work in the service of the people of Brussels and Uccle within a framework he now considers more in line with his convictions and current challenges.
“I am convinced that, faced with the rise of the far left and the majorities that have brought the PTB to power in several Brussels municipalities, we must come together around an alternative liberal project that will guarantee prosperity for all through work and avoid a breakdown in solidarity,” he explains.
This decision reflects a desire to strengthen his commitment to an ambitious project for Brussels, led by Boris Dilliès, and to a rigorous policy pursued by Valentine Delwart in Uccle.
In addition, Emmanuel De Bock will join Bertin Mampaka's team at the Presidency of the Brussels Parliament to actively contribute to the success of the project led for Brussels by the new Minister-President, drawing on his experience as a former DéFI group leader for more than ten years.
He will continue to fully carry out his mandate as group leader and CPAS councillor, and will continue to defend the interests of the people of Uccle with determination.
MR President Georges-Louis Bouchez welcomes this arrival:
“Emmanuel's arrival is further proof of the MR's ability to unite broadly around a programme that restores the value of work and effort, as well as individual emancipation. His contribution is a real asset to the MR, given how widely recognised his experience and qualities are. This arrival is part of a wider wave of recruitments in the coming weeks that will continue to strengthen the MR.”
With this new step, the MR confirms its momentum in bringing people together around an ambitious liberal project for Brussels.
