The MR has secured that the €500 gap between income from work and social benefits is indeed guaranteed in the Arizona agreement. Thanks to tax measures for workers and the capping of social benefits, work is finally becoming more attractive again!
In practice, households will earn between €236 and €553 net more per month depending on their situation. Self-employed workers, for their part, will benefit from a tax reduction of up to €480 per year.
These results stem from four major reforms: the gradual increase of the tax-exempt threshold between 2026 and 2029, the increase of the tax exemption for dependent children, the rise in the face value of meal vouchers from €8 to €10, and specific tax reductions for self-employed workers, including an entrepreneur deduction equivalent to 10% of profits, worth up to €480 in tax savings per year.
For the MR, making work the best source of income remains a priority: effort will be better rewarded and social justice strengthened.
