Belgium is becoming a full member of the Nuclear Alliance, moving from observer status to active member. This choice marks a new energy ambition: making nuclear power a pillar of our energy mix, alongside renewables, to produce electricity on a large scale, dispatchable, affordable and decarbonised. By taking part directly in European projects, Belgium will be able to strengthen its partnerships, develop skills and support innovation in a strategic sector. For citizens, this is an important step towards energy that is more reliable, more sovereign and less dependent on fossil fuels.
