From the 2027 tax year, the BE HOME allowance is set to rise from €164 to €328 per year. This reduction in property tax benefits owners who live in their own home in Brussels and concerns around 200,000 Brussels residents. The aim is to directly support their purchasing power and make Brussels more attractive to households who choose to live and invest there.

The Brussels Region has decided to cut the regional share of personal income tax by one percentage point from the 2028 tax year. This reduction is intended to increase the disposable income of Brussels residents and make the Region more attractive to live in. In concrete terms, this reform will mean an annual saving of €147 for a single person with a net income of €2,700 a month, and €152 for a married couple with two children each earning €2,400 net a month.
