In brief

Born in Verviers in 1988, Stéphanie Cortisse holds a master's degree in law with a specialisation in social law from the University of Liège. A lawyer since 2011, first at the Liège bar and, since 2020, at the Verviers bar, she combines legal practice with public commitment.

Elected to Verviers municipal council in the October 2018 elections, she became its chair in December of that same year.

In September 2019, she entered the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, where she focuses in particular on education. Re-elected in 2024, she has served as the Parliament's third secretary since February 2025.

In April 2025, she was elected president of the MR federation for the Verviers district.

She is currently a Member of the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
