In brief
Born in Büllingen and nicknamed “Camillo”, Gerhard Löfgen spent 35 years in the army as a non-commissioned officer. For some twenty years he served in the Air Component's drone unit, where he was a pilot.
Deeply involved in local sporting life, he chairs KFC Büllingen as well as the sports council of the municipality of Büllingen.
First substitute on the list of the PFF, the MR's partner in the German-speaking Community, he entered the Parliament of the German-speaking Community in June 2024, when lead candidate Gregor Freches became a minister. He sits in particular on the committees responsible for culture and sport and for health and social affairs.
He is currently a Member of the Parliament of the German-speaking Community.
