Strengthening the basics: numeracy, reading and writing from Primary 3 onwards, language learning, banning smartphones at school, tackling early school leaving, adapting the Pact for Excellence in Teaching to a changing society with a genuine guidance pathway, and rethinking the rhythm of the school day.

Making the profession more attractive: offering permanent contracts to new teachers to give them stability, raising salaries, improving the start and end of careers, harmonising statuses, and restoring teachers' authority and the respect they deserve.

Boosting vocational education: training for a real trade, chosen positively and leading to a job.
