The defence industry is one of those that make the reputation of the Walloon Region and has stood out for centuries through its internationally recognised performance. The Walloon Government is modernising the regulatory framework in this field in order to guarantee ethical principles, including human rights, more effectively; to clarify and streamline the existing system so as to make it clearer; to modernise the instrument in order to support the defence industry; and to ensure its legal compliance with European law.
